In such a case you may skip the next step and proceed with the recommended solution discussed at the last.

/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/MERP2.0

2. Go in preferences

3. Uncheck enable office error reporting

I tried to follow the instruction, I was only able to reach to /Library/Application Support/Microsoft and could not find Merp2.0
